Hearing aid batteries: ensuring your devices keep working
Your hearing aid runs on specific batteries, chosen according to its model, power consumption and your usage habits. Zinc-air hearing aid batteries, such as those offered by Rayovac, are activated on contact with air once the protective tab has been removed. They come in several sizes, identified by a number and a colour, to suit behind-the-ear, in-the-ear or implantable hearing aids.
At Audition BAHUAUD, our teams help you identify the right product and advise you on the storage, replacement and recycling of your hearing aid batteries. We also offer a battery subscription service, at a rate of €5 per strip, to help you plan for your day-to-day needs more easily.

A blocked hearing aid may be caused by a build-up of earwax, moisture or a clogged filter. Clean it using a suitable product, without water or household cleaning products. If the sound remains faint, your Audition BAHUAUD centre will check your hearing aid and help you regain clear hearing.
Battery consumption depends on your hearing aid, the battery type and your daily usage. On average, you should allow for 8 to 12 batteries per month. Once they’re used up, don’t throw them in the bin: your Audition BAHUAUD centre provides collection boxes to ensure they are recycled properly.
A hearing aid that whistles, crackles or cuts out may be positioned incorrectly, blocked with wax, damp or running on a low battery. Audition BAHUAUD will check your hearing aid at our centre and suggest the right solution: cleaning, changing the battery or filter, adjustment or repair if necessary.
