Personalised selection and fitting: hearing aids designed with you in mind
Every case of hearing loss is unique, just as every lifestyle is. That is why there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to hearing aids. At Audition BAHUAUD, the selection and fitting of your hearing aid are based on a personalised approach, from the initial assessment right through to the gradual adjustments, ensuring a result tailored to your hearing.
The hearing assessment: the starting point for any fitting.
It all starts with a comprehensive, free hearing assessment. The personalised initial consultation gives us the opportunity to discuss your lifestyle and any hearing difficulties you may be experiencing. An examination of the ear canal using an otoscope, followed by a pure-tone hearing test (air conduction and bone conduction) and a speech test, enable us to accurately assess your hearing. This information guides our choice of the most suitable type of hearing aid and the range best suited to your needs.
Choosing a hearing aid to suit your hearing loss and lifestyle
The choice of your hearing aid depends on several factors: the degree of hearing loss, the shape of your ear canal, your aesthetic preferences and your lifestyle. Our hearing care professionals use your personalised hearing assessment to guide you towards the hearing aid best suited to your needs, choosing from in-the-ear, RIC and behind-the-ear models.
The trial period and gradual adjustments
Once your quote has been approved and funding has been secured, we will carry out a trial of the hearing aid. The fitting process takes place over several appointments, so that we can fine-tune the settings to suit your comfort and daily life (work, sport, telephone calls, etc.). You will then receive regular follow-up appointments over several months: this ensures that your hearing aid is properly fitted, not just reimbursed.
Our competitive advantage
In a network comprising several hundred centres, such as Amplifon (+760) or Audika (+650), staff turnover may mean that you see a different hearing care professional from one appointment to the next. At Audition BAHUAUD, an independent network of 17 centres in Occitanie, it is usually the same professional who looks after you from the initial assessment right through to the final adjustments, ensuring a fitting process based on a long-standing relationship of trust and a thorough understanding of your medical history.
