Support from our assistants

Get professional support
24 September

In a hearing centre, the hearing care professional never works alone: they are supported by an assistant dedicated to welcoming you and handling your administrative matters — some even hold a university diploma (DU). At Audition Bahuaud, this partnership has been at the heart of our organisation for over 45 years. Find out how our assistants make every stage of your journey easier, from booking an appointment to claiming your hearing aid reimbursement.

A warm and reassuring welcome on arrival

Walking through the door of a hearing centre can sometimes be a bit daunting. At Audition Bahuaud, our receptionists are the first to welcome you at each of our 17 centres across Occitanie. Their role is to put you at ease, answer your initial questions and direct you to the hearing care professional best suited to your situation. This personalised, friendly and attentive welcome lays the foundations for a relationship built on trust that will support you throughout your hearing journey, from your initial assessment right through to the follow-up care for your hearing aid.

Simplified administrative procedures

Quotes, claims forms, the 100 % Santé scheme… the process involved in buying a hearing aid can seem complicated. Our assistants take this burden off your shoulders: they help put together your reimbursement claim and submit it to the National Insurance and your private health insurance provider, working alongside your hearing aid specialist. They can also provide you with useful contact details and help you put together applications for external funding (such as non-statutory benefits, MDPH, PCH, CAP Emploi and veterans’ benefits, amongst others), so that you can focus on what matters most: rediscovering the joy of hearing.

A relationship of trust between you and your hearing aid specialist

Our assistants do more than just carry out administrative tasks: they act as a vital link between you and your hearing care professional. They organise your appointments and ensure that every visit is prepared under the best possible conditions. This continuity of care enables the hearing care professional to work more efficiently and ensures that you, the patient, receive consistent support from one visit to the next. It is this partnership-based approach that has been the strength of the independent Audition Bahuaud network for over 45 years.

Payment options explained simply

As budget constraints can sometimes be a barrier, our assistants are on hand to explain Audition Bahuaud’s personalised financing options, in partnership with Cofidis: interest-free instalments spread over several monthly payments, or with interest in up to 48 instalments, subject to approval by the finance company. They’ll answer your questions and put you in touch with the team at your centre for any further information.

Book an appointment at one of our 17 hearing centres

Would you like to meet our team and receive personalised support right from your first contact? Book an appointment at one of our 17 hearing centres in Occitanie for a free hearing test. Our receptionists will welcome you and guide you through every step of the process, from your first appointment to the aftercare of your hearing aid.

Our competitive advantage

At large national chains such as Amplifon (over 760 centres) or Audika (over 650 centres), patient enquiries are often handled via a centralised call centre shared by several centres. At Audition Bahuaud, an independent network of 17 centres in Occitanie, each receptionist is based at a single centre and personally looks after their patients, visit after visit. You always speak to the same person, who is familiar with your case history and your preferences — a personalised service that the scale of large national chains does not always allow them to guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. Can the assistants help me put together a funding application?

A. Of course. The process can sometimes seem complicated, but you’re not on your own: our assistants can help you put together various funding applications (non-statutory benefits, MDPH, PCH, CAP Emploi, veterans’ benefits, etc.), provide you with useful contacts and help you gather the necessary documents.

Q. Do you need a referral to come and speak to the team at a centre?

A. No, there’s no need! You can simply pop into our centre to have a chat with our team, ask any questions you may have or discuss your hearing. We can also carry out a free hearing test, with no prescription required.

Q. Do the assistants handle the reimbursement process?

A. Yes. From the moment you start your claim right through to it being sent to the National Insurance Office and your health insurance provider, our teams are on hand to guide you and, as far as possible, spare you the hassle of dealing with the paperwork.

Q. What payment options are available through my centre?

A. We know that budget can be an important factor when choosing a hearing aid. That’s why, in partnership with Cofidis, we offer a range of payment plans: you can spread your payments over several monthly instalments at no extra cost, or pay in up to 48 instalments with a fee, subject to approval by the finance provider. Please feel free to discuss this with our team; we’ll work with you to find the most suitable solution.

Q. Who is responsible for the technical maintenance of my hearing aid?

A. You’ll receive support throughout the lifetime of your hearing aid. Our qualified technicians and hearing care professionals will carry out any necessary checks, cleaning, adjustments and reprogramming. And, of course, our assistants are on hand to organise your appointments and support you in your day-to-day life.
